Recycled road base, and when to use it
Recycled road base is crushed miscellaneous base: concrete and asphalt that has been broken out, crushed, and screened back into a base product. It compacts and carries load, and because the material is already local it usually lands cheaper than virgin base.
Where the section spec allows it, recycled road base is the easy call. Where it does not, we deliver virgin base instead. Send us the spec and we will tell you which one the source can supply, before you commit to a number.

- How much material fits in a Super 10?
- A Super 10 loads to weight rather than to a fixed yardage, typically around 10 to 16 tons per load. Base and rock weigh out before the bed is full, while lighter material fills the bed first. Give us the tonnage or the cubic yards and we convert it to loads and tell you how many trucks to run at once.
- Is there a minimum order?
- We quote one load the same way we quote a hundred. Call with the material and the quantity and you get a per-load number either way.
- Can you deliver outside normal hours?
- Often, yes. Quarries, pits, and recycle plants have their own hours, so off-hours delivery depends on the source as much as on us. Tell us the window you need and we will tell you straight whether the material can be pulled for it.
- Do you quote the material and the trucking separately?
- No. We broker the material and run the trucks, so you get one per-load number that covers both. One team, one invoice, and nothing to reconcile between a supplier and a hauler.
