FAQ
Dirt hauling questions, answered straight
The questions contractors ask us most, answered the way we answer the phone: no runaround. Do not see yours? Call (714) 493-7597. Phones answered 24/7.
- How many cubic yards are in a dump truck?
- It depends on the material, so a Super 10 is rated by weight rather than a fixed yardage. Ours typically carry around 10 to 16 tons per load. Heavier material like rock and wet dirt weighs out before the bed is full, while lighter, drier material fills the bed first. Tell us your volume in cubic yards and we convert it to loads for you. - How many yards of dirt are in a dump truck?
- For dirt, a Super 10 dump truck loads to weight, not to a set number of yards. Dry dirt runs lighter, so you fit more yards before you hit the roughly 10 to 16 ton limit, while wet or dense dirt weighs out sooner. Give us your total cubic yards and we tell you exactly how many loads and how many trucks to run. Call (714) 493-7597
- What is a Super 10 dump truck?
- A Super 10 is a ten-wheel dump truck: five axles, a single frame, and a bed built for heavy material. It is the workhorse of dirt and aggregate hauling because it carries a big payload, around 10 to 16 tons, while staying maneuverable on tight jobsites. We run a fleet of 100 of them across Southern California. Call (714) 493-7597
- What is fill dirt?
- Fill dirt is soil used to raise pads, backfill trenches, and build a site up to the height you need. Clean fill has no concrete, asphalt, trash, or organic material unless you agree to it up front. Tell us the source and the spec and we confirm it works for your site before we load a truck. Call (714) 493-7597
- How much does dirt hauling cost per load?
- It depends on the material, the load size, the distance, and where export material can go, so we do not publish flat rates. What you get is one all-in number for material and trucking, quoted before the first truck rolls. Call with the material, the yardage, and the location and we price it on the spot. Call (714) 493-7597
- Do you quote material and trucking separately?
- No. We broker the material and run the trucks, so you get one number that covers both. One team, one invoice, and nothing to reconcile between a supplier and a hauler. Call (714) 493-7597
- Do you haul off dirt as well as bring it in?
- Yes. We import clean fill and export or haul off spoils, and we often pair the two. When your export job sits near one of our import jobs we backhaul, which cuts miles and sharpens your number. Call (714) 493-7597
- How fast can you get trucks to my jobsite?
- Same-day service is available across our 100 mile radius when the schedule has room. The earlier you call, the easier it is to line up the trucks. Phones are answered 24/7. Call (714) 493-7597
- What areas do you serve?
- We run a 100 mile service radius across Southern California, covering Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, Ventura, and San Diego counties. Check the service area page for your city. Call (714) 493-7597
- What material do you deliver?
- Import and clean fill dirt, rock, sand, and gravel or aggregate, plus export and haul-off of dirt, asphalt grindings, and broken concrete. If you are not sure what you need, describe the job and we spec it. Call (714) 493-7597
- How do I get a quote?
- Call (714) 493-7597 or send the quote form with the material, the yardage, the jobsite city, and your needed-by date. We come back with one all-in number for material and trucking. Call (714) 493-7597
